Moments ago, word broke that the Harper Government would shuffle its current roster of cabinet ministers. With John Baird’s resignation in Foreign Affairs, many expected International Trade’s Ed Fast to take the post. Instead, Rob Nicholson from the Ministry of National Defence will be making the jump. Jason Kenney, former current Minister of Employment and Social Development will be taking over for him. Pierre Poilievre goes into Kenney’s old job. Rest assured, the delicate balance of middle aged white guys in the executive branch of government will be maintained.

Is this all an attempt by the Conservatives to take back the news cycle after Eve Adams announced she will be joining the Liberal party? Maybe.
