Welcome to Crazy Canadian Comments, a weekly column featuring the most outlandish comments made on popular news sites (mostly the National Post and Globe and Mail, because that’s where all the angry senior citizens are).

Another week, another collection of comments. We begin with an article on the National Post, where Rob Ford boldly took the “ice-bucket challenge” that has been raising eyebrows as of recently.

ZING!

The next comment is in the same article, and a bit more scathing. For contextual purposes, it should be noted that there is a “Rob Ford for Mayor” banner behind Mayor Ford during the video.

Oy…

Moving onto The Globe and Mail, we have an interesting piece about Amanda Lang, and her journey into the fray of Canadian journalism. You learn some pretty cool things.

Ouch. That’s rough.

Things are looking up for good ol’ Newfoundland. According to The Globe and Mail, things in the province aren’t what they used to be.

Hey, come on, now.

Finally, we have an exceedingly creepy comment from a user on a Sun News article about the strange case of the Masturbator’s Political Party of Ontario.

He isn’t a “Top Commenter” like most people on Sun News, but he “Works at Retired.” I have no words for this. I feel even more uncomfortable by the lone person who decided to like his comment.
