On August 6, Maclean’s hosted the first (and likely only) English leaders debate. Throughout the 2-hour spectacle, we saw name-calling, talking points, and attempts at being likeable. We laughed. We cried. We raised an eyebrow. Instead of sitting through the grueling debate from start to finish, we took the liberty of condensing it into a short(er) reel of highlights. All in all, it was surprisingly coherent, relative to the Question Period drivel watched by Canadian political junkies.
So, sit back. Relax. And don’t worry about counting how many times Harper said “let’s be clear”, because we already did that.
